Dan Gates
Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management
Dan Gates is a lifelong sportsman and a prominent voice for science-based wildlife management in Colorado. As Executive Director of Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management, he works to educate, engage, and empower hunters, anglers, and outdoorspeople on wildlife policy and conservation issues through advocacy and public outreach. Dan hosts the podcast Through the Gates, where he breaks down wildlife issues, policy debates, and the importance of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation for real-world audiences. He also appears on other outdoor podcasts discussing hunting, wildlife policy, and sustainable use, helping bridge the gap between complex conservation topics and the communities that care about them. Dan’s commitment to responsible wildlife stewardship drives his work and his wider efforts to support sustainable use and conservation across the West.
